Hello, Who's There?
by
Satoshi Kitamura
Illustrator: Satoshi Kitamura
Little Duck is searching for someone. She waddles across fields, into woods, past rocks and into the pond, and everywhere she goes, she stops to ask 'Hello, who's there?' Pull the tabs and you find out!
But although she finds a rabbit in a burrow, a bat in a cave, a butterfly on a flower, they aren't who she's looking for.
Only when Little Duck gets to the pond is her quest complete, and she finds Mummy Duck behind the reeds.
Kitamura's spiky, jaunty illustrations and this simple story, with reassuring question-and- answer repetitions on each page, make this a perfect first book to share. The tab pulls create extra involvement as Mummy Duck and her chick are finally re-united.
