I Want to go Home!

by

Tony Ross
Illustrator: Tony Ross

As the Royal Family expands, the castle is getting too small and the Queen decides they need to move. But the Little Princess doesn't want to go anywhere. And, once settled in the new castle, with its spacious apartments and well-tended grounds, she WANTS TO GO HOME!

They go back – just for a peep – and find the new owners have changed everything, they even hoover the grass! 'I WANT TO GO HOME' wails the Little Princess – rushing back to the now homely new castle.

Ross approaches the subject of moving house head-on and the Little Princess gently learns that new can be good. The strong, deceptively simple text and wittily expressive story-enhancing illustrations will both entertain and reassure the most reluctant re-locator.
