Gregor and the Rats of Underland

A long summer babysitting his sister, Boots, yawns ahead of Gregor. Then suddenly they are plummeted into a heart-stopping adventure in the dark, twisting tunnels, caverns and streams of Underland, encountering bats, spiders, cockroaches and terrifying rats – and they only went to the laundry-room!

Gregor becomes an unwilling warrior and his role is to fulfil an ancient prophecy and bring peace to Underland’s warring inhabitants. But as well as surviving and protecting his sister, it seems he could also finally track down his missing father.

Emotional darkness and depth counterpoint action, as Gregor experiences treachery and death with his new companions in this vividly imagined world; not only fulfilling the prophecy (with a twist!) but also succeeding in his own quest.
