Skybreaker

During training on the cargo ship Flotsam, airship academy student Matt Cruse spies the legendary ghost ship Hyperion, which has been missing for 40 years. It is reputed to be carrying great wealth, as well as a rare collection of zoological specimens and there is much interest in salvaging it.

Before long Matt and his friend Kate are on the adventure of a lifetime, battling ruthless air pirates in an attempt to recover the gold and save the zoological museum.

Skybreaker is an exciting thriller set in a sort of futuristic past. The story rolls along at a thrilling pace and is packed with adventure and imagination. This is the second Matt Cruse story from Kenneth Oppel and will not disappoint older readers. A real page turner!
