Duck's Key: Where Can It Be?

by

Jez Alborough
Illustrator: Jez Alborough

This humorous, interactive, lift-the-flap book introduces the reader to more of Duck's antics. This time he is looking for the key to drive his truck but only the irrepressible Frog knows where it is and wherever Duck looks, Frog and the key are just one step away!

While Duck searches fruitlessly, the reader, by lifting the flaps keeps up with Frog's cunning plan to get the key to the very place where Duck needs it most! Using his familiar cast of animals and engagingly bright and well-crafted illustrations, Jez Alborough and Duck (or should that be Frog?) triumph again. This title was shortlisted for the 2005 Booktrust Early Years Awards (Pre-school category).

Jez Alborough was born and grew up in Kingston-upon-Thames. He loved drawing and painting from an early age and always wanted to be an artist. 'I used to love the exercise books which had one blank page opposite one lined page. It was like an invitation to me to write a story and draw the illustrations.' Jez didn't much like secondary school, but going to art college in Norwich was a much happier experience: 'It felt like freedom. Having the time and space to do what I wanted to do was so uplifting. 'He graduated with a BA Honours degree in Graphic Design.
