The Defender

by Alan Gibbons

Kenny Kincaid has a violent, criminal past, but leaves all that behind in Northern Ireland when he runs away to England with his baby son, Ian, to begin a new life. Unfortunately, the past has a nasty habit of catching up with you and some very unpleasant people are out to get even with Kenny.

In this compulsive thriller, Kenny and his son, now 16, are pursued relentlessly and while Ian’s world is falling apart and everything he held to be true turns out to be a lie, they both end up, quite literally, fighting for their lives.

A masterpiece of tension and an emotional rollercoaster of a book which will mesmerise you right up to the very last word.
