Books we like: May 2012
This month we have two short story collections from previous prizewinners of awards we manage: D W Wilson, who won the BBC National Short Story Award 2011 with 'The Dead Roads' releases his debut collection Once You Break a Knuckle and Kevin Barry, winner of The Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award 2012 for 'Beer Trip to Llandudno', releases his second book of short stories, Dark Lies the Island. Much as we loved them, our book of the month is a startling non-fiction book about World War II - HHhH, which captivated our reviewer from the first page. Also, we have new books from Paul Pickering, Brendan Jones and comedian Nat Luurtsema.
