Books we like: April 2012
This month's concerns are with war, politics and the sanctity of human life. We have short stories from Lucy Wood, a follow up to the impeccable Stasiland and a non-fiction book about the science of creativity. Greg Baxter and Patrick Flanery lead the debut stakes. Greg's book is hypnotic and powerful whereas Patrick's Abolution, our book of the month, takes us to the heart of a country at war with itself, emotionally and physically.
