Books we like: December 2011
Listen up home boys... last year's best book finally gets a UK release...
Too many good books this year means we're still catching up with things from earlier on. Plus we had to mammoth task of blowing through three Murakami books, so count that as more than one review. Meanwhile, one book out this month is something we read last year, when it won the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. Yes, Home Boy is a visceral, racially aware road trip mammoth of a slam poem about New York. And it's finally out. And we think you'll love it as much as we do. Which is why it's our book of the month.
