It's National Bookstart Week!
10 June 2012
Thousands of events around the country to celebrate stories, books and rhymes
All this week we're baking cakes, blowing up balloons and getting dressed up as we celebrate National Bookstart Week with this year's theme of parties – the perfect way to celebrate our programme's 20th year.
With family events up and down the country, in libraries, children's centres, bookshops and elsewhere, be sure not to miss our annual celebration of sharing stories, books and rhymes. We're also be giving away exclusive booklets – Busy Bear's Party, gorgeously illustrated by John Prater – so come along and join in the fun.
