Bookstart 20 regional update
Find out how our supporters are celebrating Bookstart 20 around the country. This week: a fantastic event in South Tyneside, and news from Northern Ireland.
The Bookstart 20 campaign is starting to gather momentum now with local partners rising to the challenge to sign up new pledgers all across the country.
Each week we'll bring you an update about what is happening in the regions. To get us started we'd like to thank South Tyneside Bookstart for organising a fantastic Bookstart 20 launch event attended by Councillor Tracey Dixon.
Along with parents and children, Councillor Dixon took the pledge to share 20 books throughout 2012. As the photo shows a good time was had by all, including the Bookstart Bear!
Good news from Northern Ireland
Over in Northern Ireland, finance minister Sammy Wilson MP signed the Bookstart 20 pledge at Carrickfergus Library:

It's great to see all the exciting events taking place around the country. Check back next week for more, or if you're holding a Bookstart 20 event, then why not tell us about it?
