Bookstart 20

In 2012 we are celebrating 20 years of Bookstart - our world-renowned reading programme which gifts free books to babies, toddlers and 3-year-olds. We'll be celebrating everything that the programme has achieved, including the 30 million free books that we have been able to gift since it all began in 1992.

Bookstart exists to give every child a flying start in life, and that's why we are asking for your support to help secure it for future generations. You can be a part of the Bookstart 20th year celebrations by making a simple pledge: to share 20 books in 2012.

How can you share 20 books?

reading picture books with your own children or other members of your family at bedtime or at anytime!
reading to a group of children in a school or a library

joining a reading group
recommending books to your friends
posting a book review on a website.
