Get London Reading is a biennial campaign run by Booktrust, in association with the Mayor of London, to encourage Londoners to make more time for reading, and to celebrate London as an international centre for books.
Booktrust issues the Get London Reading Challenge to booksellers, libraries, publishers and arts organisations to get them to come up with ways of getting Londoners reading.
The 2008 campaign, which got under way on Tuesday 25 March and ran throughout April, featured more than 20 library-based author events. Find out more about the 2008 campaign
