Bookstart Development Managers

£28,823 + 7% non contributory pension scheme and paid travel/car
35 hours per week, permanent post, current funding secured until 31/03/2011

Post 1: North East and North West England
Post 2: East of England and East Midlands
Post 3: South and North East London, Surrey and Sussex

A universal programme, Bookstart is a public/private partnership, funded by the Department for Children Schools and Families and by publisher sponsors.

We seek three experienced, self motivated project managers to ensure Bookstart is strategically embedded as a core early years provision in every authority. Applicants will have excellent management skills, preferably gained working with multi-agency partnership projects and the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences.

The posts are home-based with travel throughout the specified region and regular meetings at our head office in London, as well as some overnight stays.

Research Coordinator
£25,533pa (pay award pending) 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a skilled researcher to help us develop an evidence-base to support our mission and activities.

The role will involve collating and analysing research & policy and disseminating key findings, as well as commissioning and designing evaluation programmes to measure the performance of Booktrust projects.

To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrable experience in social research projects, strong analytical skills and the ability to convey technical issues to a range of audiences.
